Pork Scaloppini with Noodles and Roasted Cauliflower.

Hello bloggies!  For today's post, it is all about a meal that you can get at restaurant right in your own kitchens.  My parents were never ones to go out and spend money on a meal that we could make for a fraction of the price at home.
The Pork Scaloppini, although it does have a bit of preparation, is worth it in the end.  This meal, in particular, is one that we only make on the weekends because of the work that goes into it.  The side dishes that we make for this dish always vary. I once asked my mom why it was this way and her answer was not that shocking, "it is what we had in the house at the time", could not have said it better myself.  This recipe happens to be one of those that we made up as we go along.
Most of the time, we add mozzarella to the top to give it that extra something.  For enrichment purposes, a sprinkle of garlic powder is added to the noodles, along with a little butter, after they are cooked to add an extra something.  The cauliflower was roasted in the oven with a drizzle of olive oil and a dash of salt.  Coming from a person who does not care for cauliflower, this version is my favorite.  This method of cooking can also be done for broccoli, carrots, and a variety of other garden veggies.  For those that prefer to pair your meal with a specific wine, my suggestion would be to drink a South African Pinotage.  If possible, decant the wine an hour prior to serving.

This meal is great to make for a dinner party, or even if you need a meal for a date night with your special someone.  Do not let the preparation of this meal stop you from trying it.  Have some fun and create a new memory.  Enjoy!

May your next bite always be the best.  From my kitchen to yours,

Olivia.
